Zakia Ruffin has been a licensed massage and bodywork therapist since April 2010. She discovered her passion and drive for massage therapy while at school at Southeastern Institute in Charlotte, NC. In 2010, Zakia started working for other massage therapy spa franchises until 2018, when she started her own business, Z Massage & Bodywork, LLC, located in Concord, NC. Being able to ease tension away to make someone's day better and help people find their peaceful triad of mind, body, and soul brings true fulfillment to her career.
Zakia's expertise extends to a wide range of issues, from stress relief to chronic pain. She takes the time to understand your specific needs and focuses on the areas that are causing you discomfort. Her certification in various modalities, including Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Trigger Point Therapy, Pregnancy Massage, Warm Stone, Sports massage, Bamboo Fusion, Sticks & Stones Massage, Thai Massage, Thai Foot Massage, Integrative Reflexology, and Cupping, ensures that she can cater to your unique massage needs.
When Zakia is not practicing massage therapy, she enjoys caring for her beloved Chow Chow mix, Zeke, and is a passionate fan of pickleball. Her love for running, especially Disney runs, and her training for her next half marathon reflect her active lifestyle and commitment to personal wellness.
